These measures come amid a severe heatwave affecting about 26 districts across Pakistan. The Climate Change Ministry has reported extreme temperatures, with some areas expecting to reach up to 50°C (122°F). The heatwave has also caused delays in annual school exams in Sindh due to the intense heat conditions.
