Applications are invited from eligible candidates for recruitment against the following vacant posts in the PSDP Project “Procurement/ Manufacture of 230 Passenger Coaches” located at Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory Islamabad. The posts are to be filled purely on a contract basis initially for a period of two years on Standard Pay Package 2022 for PSDP funded Project staff as per the eligibility criteria mentioned against each:


Eligibility Criteria

Sr. No. 1: CWI/ HTXR (PPS-06)

  • No. of Posts & Quota: 01 (Open Merit)
  • Vacant Post: 01
  • Eligibility:
    • Matric 2nd Division + DAE Mechanical.
    • Retired from Pakistan Railways in BS-16.
    • Age Limit: 60-62 Years (Male)

No. 2: CNC Machine Operator (PPS-04)

  • No. of Posts & Quota: 02 (Open Merit)
  • Vacant Post: 02
  • Eligibility:
    • Matric with Science (at least 2nd Division)
    • DAE/Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Technology at least 2nd Division from Recognized Board of Technical Education.
    • At least one year experience as CNC Machine Operator.
    • Preference: Candidates with more than one year on-hand experience and trained/certified from recognized professional institute.
    • Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years (Male)

Sr. No. 3: Certified Welder (PPS-04)

  • Eligibility:
    • 1 or 2 years Diploma in welding from Technical Institute recognized by Provincial Board of Technical Education.
    • Preferably trained from Pakistan Welding Institute Islamabad or from any Govt. recognized Institution.
    • At least 03 years experience in welding.
    • Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years (Male)

No. 4: Skilled Welder (PPS-02)

    • Matric (at least 2nd Division)
    • 01 Year Diploma/Certificate in welding issued by the Technical Training Institute recognized by Board of Technical Education.
    • 02 Years’ experience in relevant field from Reputable Organization.
    • Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years (Male)

Sr. No. 5: Skilled Fitter/Painter (PPS-02)

  • Eligibility:
    • Matric (at least 2nd Division)
    • Minimum 02 years experience in relevant field from reputable organization.
    • Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years (Male)

No. 6: Driver (PPS-02)

  • No. of Posts & Quota: 01 (Open Merit)
  • Vacant Post: 01
  • Eligibility:
    • Matric
    • Must have LTV/ HTV valid license.
    • Must have at least 02 years experience in relevant field.
    • Age Limit: 18-25 Years + 5 Years (Male)

AGE Relaxation:

  1. General Age Relaxation in upper age limit on the closing date for receipt of applications is admissible as per Government Rules.
  2. The age of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Buddhist Community, Sindh Urban/Rural & Baluchistan is relaxed for 3 years in addition to general relaxation.
  3. In case of Ex-Serviceman, the upper age limit is relaxable to the extent of 15 years or the number of years actually served in the Armed Forces of Pakistan, whichever is less.

TERMS & CONDITIONS/INSTRUCTIONS FOR CANDIDATES:

  1. Application form can be downloaded online from Pakistan Railways website www.pakrail.gov.pk or collected from the office of the Assistant Personnel Officer, Pakistan Railways Carriage Factory, Islamabad during working hours.
  2. Applicants can apply for more than one post as per qualification requirements. However, separate application has to be submitted for each post.
  3. Applicants shall submit their applications along with attested copies of all Educational/Technical certificates/documents, experience certificate, character certificate, domicile, CNIC, 02 fresh passport size photographs & 02 envelopes with postal address & registered stamp which shall be delivered in the office of undersigned through registered post/courier services/by-hand within 20 days after the date of issue of advertisement.
  4. Eligibility of candidates shall be determined on the basis of applicant’s qualification, experience, practical test, and interview.
  5. Incomplete applications as well as received after due date shall not be entertained.
  6. Candidates to whom final transcript has not been issued are not eligible to apply.
  7. Roll No. slip containing the information regarding test center, timing, and date shall be dispatched at the provided postal address before the practical test/interview.
  8. Original documents must be presented by the candidates at the time of interview.
  9. The service is purely on a contract basis and no regularization in the future.
  10. The candidates selected shall be required:
  • To pass the prescribed medical examination
  • To be cleared by Security Agencies.
  1. The following quotas will also be observed:
  • 5% quota is fixed for minorities/non-Muslims in all categories.
  • 1% quota is fixed for Orphans in all categories.
  • 10% quota is fixed for ex-servicemen.
  • 20% quota for son/daughter of Railways employees including 2% fixed for son/daughter of Railways deceased employees.
  1. In case, any information furnished by the candidate is found fake or bogus, the candidature of that candidate shall stand canceled and legal action shall be taken accordingly.
  2. No TA/DA will be admissible.
  3. The competent authority reserves the right to reject any application/applications without assigning any reason and may also alter the number of vacancies.
  4. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview.

WEIGHTAGE FOR SELECTION:

  • 60% Practical Test
  • 40% Interview
