In accordance with the approval of the Board of Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) in its 54th meeting held on June 07, 2024, the GPA, Ministry of Maritime Affairs, Government of Pakistan, is seeking a highly accomplished, qualified, and motivated professional for the post of Executive Director at the Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute (PCTVI), Gwadar. The candidate must possess the following qualifications and experience:
Essential Requirements
The Executive Director will serve as the principal executive, financial, and academic officer of PCTVI to promote teaching, research, publication, financial discipline, national and international linkages, good governance, and general efficiency. Therefore, the applicant should:
- Be no older than sixty (60) years of age on the last date for application submission.
- Hold a Ph.D. in Economics, Engineering, Management, or Public Administration from a reputed HEC-recognized university. Preference will be given to Ph.D. holders from one of the top 100 universities in the QS Ranking.
- Have at least 18 years of teaching/research experience in any HEC-recognized university or technical and vocational institute, with 10 years of post-Ph.D. administrative experience in senior academic, research, management, and leadership positions (e.g., chairperson, dean, director, pro-VC/VC) in a recognized technical and vocational institute or university.
- Possess an excellent research publication record that meets the criteria for appointment as a Professor in a university, with a minimum of 20 peer-reviewed HEC-recognized publications. Preference will be given to publications indexed in the HRJS system of HEC (https://hjrs.gov.pk).
Terms of Appointment and Salary
The Executive Director shall be appointed for a term of four years and will serve at the pleasure of the Gwadar Port Authority Board. The incumbent will be entitled to the BPS salary of grade 20/21, or as specified by the Selection Board or the Board of Gwadar Port Authority.

- Candidates already in service should apply through the proper channel.
Only shortlisted candidates will be called for a test/interview. Short-listing of candidates will be done in accordance with the procedure laid down by PCTVI/GPA. The PCTVI/GPA reserves the right not to fill/withdraw the advertised post or withhold the appointment for recorded reasons. No TA/DA or compensation will be provided to candidates who reach the interview stage.
