History of PPHI Sindh

The People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) was launched in Sindh, Pakistan, in 2007 by the provincial government of Sindh, in collaboration with national and international partners such as the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Objectives and Goals

The primary objective of PPHI was to enhance access to primary healthcare services for the underserved populations in rural Sindh. The program aimed to establish a network of primary healthcare centers across the province, staffed by trained community health workers and doctors.
