Earthquake Jolts Swat and Adjacent Areas with a Magnitude of 4.2
Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Residents of Swat, Mingora, and nearby regions experienced a 4.2 magnitude earthquake on Tuesday night, causing widespread panic but no reported casualties or property damage.
According to the Seismological Centre, the earthquake’s epicenter was located in the border region between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan, originating at a depth of 182 kilometers. Despite the significant tremors, there have been no reports of harm to individuals or damage to infrastructure from the capital or its neighboring areas.
As the earthquake struck, residents fled their homes in fear, many of them reciting verses from the Holy Quran in the aftermath. The community’s quick response and resilience were evident as they sought safety and solace in the face of natural adversity.
