VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Member (Finance)
Organization: Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)
The Cabinet Division is seeking applications from distinguished professionals of proven integrity and competence for the role of Member (Finance) at OGRA. Applicants should meet the following qualifications and experience criteria:
Education/Qualification:
- A Master’s Degree (minimum 16 years of education) in Finance/Accounting, or be a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) / Fellow Cost and Management Accountant (FCMA), or possess an equivalent degree in these fields.
Experience:
- At least 20 years of relevant experience in large private or public sector organizations, including national/multinational companies, with expertise in corporate finance, accounting, and budgeting.
- Demonstrable track record in handling financial, corporate, and regulatory matters, preferably within the energy sector. Experience in policy and strategy formulation and implementation is highly desirable.
- Experience in financial planning, projections, analysis, and tariff design/determination policies in the petroleum sector will be considered a significant advantage.
Pay Package/Remuneration:
- As per the Median of MP-1 Scale, along with perquisites according to the Finance Division’s rules/policy.
Tenure:
- Initial term of two years, with eligibility for reappointment for a further term of four years. The position will retire upon the expiry of the term or reaching the age of 65 years, whichever comes first.
Maximum Age:
- Not more than 62 years on the closing date for applications.
Ineligibility:
- Under the OGRA Ordinance, 2002, candidates with direct or indirect financial interests or connections that could be seen as conflicts of interest with any person involved in regulated activities in the Oil and Gas sector are ineligible.
Instructions:
- Government servants must apply through the proper channel. Selected candidates currently employed in Government Departments or Autonomous/Semi-Autonomous Bodies will need to resign or seek retirement before assuming the new position.
