Good News for Government Employees: Affordable Plots Will Be Available

Karachi: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon announced in a press conference that affordable plots will be provided for government employees. Under this scheme, all government employees will receive plots, which can be paid for in easy installments.

This scheme will be overseen by a committee comprising the Interior Minister, the Establishment Minister, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Law.

Police Instructions:

Sharjeel Memon further stated that the police have been instructed to immediately arrest anyone seen dumping debris. The purpose of this action is to keep the city clean and safe.

All government employees deserve to work in a good environment. In response to this need, the government of Sindh is planning to develop housing societies specifically for these employees. These societies will provide plots to lower grade staff at very low prices, ensuring that almost all judges are included in the scheme. Every Sindh government employee will have the opportunity to acquire plots from the government at reasonable rates, which can be paid in installments.

To ensure fairness, merit-based balloting will be conducted for all employees in these housing societies. The Sindh government plans to allocate thousands of acres of land to its employees, reflecting its commitment to their well-being and stability.

I firmly believe that the government should extend this land distribution to all employees, similar to the provisions made for other courts. In addition, we have provided land to press clubs and journalists, acknowledging their significant contributions.

This new housing scheme will be launched for all government employees, including those working in strenuous conditions such as police officers and traffic officers enduring the harsh heat waves. These announcements underscore our dedication to supporting all government employees, ensuring they have access to affordable and secure housing.

Moreover, Karachi is setting a precedent as the first city in Pakistan to introduce E-V buses, representing a significant step forward in modernizing urban transportation and enhancing sustainability efforts. This initiative reflects our broader vision of progress and commitment to improving the quality of life for all residents.
