Energy Department Punjab 2024 The Chief Engineer (Power) at the Energy Department, Government of Punjab, invites applications from suitable and enthusiastic candidates domiciled in Punjab. The aim is to fill the following temporary posts on a contract basis for approximately one year under the project titled “Establishment of Research Cell in Energy Department.” The requisite qualifications, experience, and other conditions are as follows:
Vacant Posts:
1. Energy Research Head
No. of Posts: 01
PPS: 12
Lumpsum Salary Per Month (PKR): 650,000/-
Qualification & Experience:
Ph.D. or M.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical from a recognized university by HEC and registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.
Minimum 15 years post-qualification experience for Ph.D. holders or 20 years for M.Sc. holders in the relevant field.
Must have experience dealing with policy/regulatory processes in the power sector.
Public Sector experience preferred.
Familiarity with the execution of power projects in the public sector on BOOT/BOO/BOT basis.
Experience in developing documents like PQD, RFP, PPA, IA, and their legal & financial implications.
Age Limit: 45-63 Years
2. Tariff Expert

Lumpsum Salary Per Month (PKR): 450,000/-
Qualification & Experience:
Chartered Accountant or Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a recognized university by HEC.
Minimum 10 years experience for CA and 15 years post-qualification experience for other qualifications in the relevant field.
Must possess experience dealing with tariff-related matters.
Familiarity with EPC claims negotiations, IPPs framework, Project documentation, PPA will be an added advantage.
Public Sector experience preferred.

3. Energy Policy Expert

Lumpsum Salary Per Month (PKR): 450,000/-
Qualification & Experience:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Engineering) in Electrical/Mechanical from a recognized university by HEC and registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.
Minimum 12 years post-qualification experience for M.Sc. holders or 15 years for B.Sc. holders in the relevant field.
Must possess experience dealing with policies/regulations/laws of the power sector.
Familiarity with developing/administering documents like PQD, RFP, PPA, IA, etc. will be an added advantage.
Public Sector experience preferred.

Qualification & Experience:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. (Engineering) in Chemical/Petroleum from a recognized university by HEC and registration with Pakistan Engineering Council.

Must possess experience in regulatory/policy/legal/operational matters in the oil and gas sector.

5. Legal Expert

Qualification & Experience:
Law Graduate from a recognized university by HEC.
15 years post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Must possess experience dealing with Energy Sector Policies, Laws, and Rules & Regulations.
Familiarity with Corporate/Commercial laws, drafting of Corporate/Commercial & Power Sector contracts, MOUs, etc. will be an added advantage.
Public Sector experience preferred.
Age Limit: 40-63 Years
