Overview

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced 3000 vacancies for the position of Charge Nurse (Female) under advertisement no. 16/2024. Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the position of Charge Nurse (Female), candidates must meet the following criteria:

1. Educational Qualifications:
   • Option 1: B.Sc. Nursing Generic (Four Years) from a recognized institution with valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
   • Option 2: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery with valid registration from the Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC).
2. Preference:
   • Preference will be given to graduates from government institutions.
3. Age Limit:
   • Female candidates must be between 21 to 28 years old. An age relaxation of 8 years is applicable, making the maximum age limit 36 years.
4. Domicile:
   • Candidates must be domiciled in any district of the province of Punjab.
5. Gender:
   • This position is open to female and female transgender candidates. The age and sex of transgender candidates will be determined based on the contents of their CNIC.

Important Notes

• Candidates who have applied to the PNC for registration of their diplomas or B.Sc. Nursing Generic on or before the closing date but have not yet received their registration cards will be provisionally eligible, provided they produce documentary evidence from the PNC.
• Government employees must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department.
• Experience certificates from private firms must be supported by proof of the firm’s registration with SECP or other relevant authorities.
• Ensure that all required registrations and certifications are valid as of the closing date.

Syllabus for Written Examination/Test

The written examination will be an MCQ-type test consisting of 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The syllabus for the test is as follows:

1. Qualification-related Questions (80%):
   • Questions related to nursing practices, general nursing, midwifery, and other relevant topics as per the candidate’s educational background.
2. General Knowledge (20%):
   • Pakistan Studies
   • Current Affairs
   • Geography
   • Basic Mathematics
   • English
   • Urdu

   • Basic Computer Studies
