National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF)

The National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF) is a government-owned, not-for-profit company established under Section 42 of the Companies Act 2017. It provides grant financing for projects that enhance Pakistan’s resilience to climatic and natural hazards and strengthens the government’s ability to respond quickly to disasters.

NDRMF invites applications from dynamic and qualified professionals for the following Islamabad-based positions on a performance-based contract:

1. Manager – Disaster Risk Financing (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of the National DRF Strategy, coordinate stakeholders, conduct research and development for disaster financing instruments, review policies, mobilize funds, design financial products, and build partnerships.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field. A PhD or advanced degree in Disaster/Climate Financing is advantageous.
• Experience: 8-10 years of professional experience, including 3-5 years in disaster risk financing, financial management, or climate finance. Proven experience in designing financial products and mechanisms for disaster risk reduction, funding mobilization, and partnership building.

2. Technical Team Lead – NATCAT Risk Modelling & Data Centre (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Oversee the NATCAT Risk Modeling & Data Centre operations at NUST-Islamabad, manage day-to-day activities, establish connections with national and international data centers, incorporate AI/ML elements, and enhance the Risk Calculator’s efficiency.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in GIS & RS, Geo-informatics, Spatial Data Science, Hazard/NATCAT Risk Modeling, or related fields. MS/PhD preferred.
• Experience: 8-10 years of experience, including 3-5 years in managing data centers or GIS/RS-based risk assessment projects. Expertise in GIS/IT infrastructure, Web-GIS, Mobile-GIS, AI, and ML applications.

3. Deputy Manager – GIS Developer/Modeling (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Develop intuitive user interfaces and interactive visualizations for dashboards using WebGIS technologies, link AI technologies, and ensure responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Geoinformatics, Computer Science, GIS Development, or related fields.
• Experience: 6-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years in similar roles. Completion of at least 3 landmark projects of similar nature. Expertise in WebGIS technologies, JavaScript libraries, and data visualization tools.

4. Deputy Manager – GIS Expert, NATCAT Data Centre (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Integrate heterogeneous datasets from multiple sources, including vector and raster data. Understanding of spatial DBMS, data interoperability standards, and experience with data transformation.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Geoinformatics, GIS & Remote Sensing, Data Science, or related fields.
• Experience: 6-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years in similar roles. Proficiency in integrating datasets and spatial DBMS.

5. Deputy Manager – IT, NATCAT Data Centre (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Manage IT infrastructure, network design and implementation, and support data center operations. Experience with cloud computing platforms and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Advanced qualifications or certifications in network engineering, systems administration, or cybersecurity preferred.
• Experience: 6-8 years of experience, including 2-3 years in data center operations and IT infrastructure management.

6. Assistant Manager – IT, NATCAT Data Centre (1 position)

• Responsibilities: Support IT infrastructure management, network design and implementation, and data center operations. Experience with cloud computing platforms and hybrid cloud deployments.
• Qualifications: Minimum 16 years of education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Certifications in network engineering, systems administration, or cybersecurity preferred.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience, including 1-2 years in data center operations and IT infrastructure management.
