The Sindh Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (SICD) invites applications for various training positions at NICVD and its partnering Satellite Centres. Below are the details:

Department of Adult Cardiology

1. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiology Training Completed
Duration: 1 Year
Centres: All Centres (Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan)

2. FCPS Postgraduate Trainee

Eligibility: FCPS-1 with 2 Years IMM training completed, preferably IMM passed candidates
Duration: 3 Years
Centres: All Centres (Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan)

Department of Interventional Cardiology

3. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiology Qualified
Duration: 2 Years
Centres: Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan

Department of Cardiac Imaging

4. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiology Qualified
Duration: 2 Years (rotations in Echo, CT Angio, Nuclear, ETT)
Centre: Karachi

Department of Cardiac Surgery

5. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiac Surgery Qualified
Duration: 2 Years
Centres: Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan

6. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiac Surgery Training Completed
Duration: 1 Year

7. FCPS Postgraduate Trainee

Eligibility: FCPS-I with 2 years training in General Surgery, preferably IMM passed candidates
Duration: 3 Years

Department of Paediatric Cardiology

8. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Paeds Medicine Qualified
Duration: 3 Years
Centres: All Centres (Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan)

9. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS or MD Paeds Medicine training completed
Duration: 1 Year
Centres: All Centres (Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan)

10. Postgraduate Trainee

Eligibility: Preferable MCPS Paeds or DCH passed candidates, MCPS Paeds or DCH trained can also apply
Duration: 1 Year

Department of Critical Care Medicine

11. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Qualified in General Medicine, Cardiology, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Pulmonology, or Nephrology
Duration: 2 Years
Centre: Karachi

12. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Trained in General Medicine, Cardiology, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Pulmonology, or Nephrology
Duration: 1 Year

Department of Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology

13. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiology Qualified
Duration: 2 Years

15. FCPS Postgraduate Trainee

Eligibility: FCPS Anesthesia training completed or MCPS Anesthesia Qualified or training completed

Department of Paediatric Cardiac ICU

17. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS or MD Paeds Medicine training completed
Duration: 1 Year

18. Postgraduate Trainee

Eligibility: Preferable MCPS Paeds or DCH passed candidates, MCPS Paeds or DCH trained can also apply

Department of Cardiac Emergency

19. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiology trained or FCPS Emergency Medicine training completed
Duration: 1 Year

Department of Paediatric Cardiac Surgery

20. Post Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiac Surgery Qualified
Duration: 2 Years

21. Clinical Fellow

Eligibility: FCPS Cardiac Surgery training completed
Duration: 1 Year

Application Process

Application Form: Available at NICVD website or Medical Education Department, 5th Floor, NICVD, Karachi.
Submission: Completed forms with attested documents should reach the Medical Education Department by Saturday, June 01, 2024.
Courier: Ensure documents reach before the last date if sending via courier.
Selection: Based on merit. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview/test. No TA/DA for interview/test.
Government Employees: Apply through proper channel with NOC at the time of interview.
Note: All training positions are full-time. No external work is allowed during the training period.
Stipend: Provided as per NICVD policies.
