I am directed to refer to your letter No.DAO/DU/F.P/6541/2023, dated 15.11.2023, on the subject noted above.

Time Scale Entitlement for PSTs Initially Appointed in BPS-09

1. Entitlement Overview:
   PSTs initially appointed in BPS-09 are entitled to be awarded BPS-12, BPS-14, BPS-15, and BPS-16 on the basis of time scale upon completion of 09, 14, 21, and 25 years, respectively, or w.e.f. 28.11.2011, whichever is later.
2. Service Length Calculation:
   The length of the service will be calculated from the date of initial appointment (Regular), in terms of Time Scale policy circulars dated 07.06.2010 and 21.07.2014.

Time Scale Entitlement for PSTs Initially Appointed in BPS-07

1. Entitlement Overview:
   PSTs initially appointed in BPS-07 are entitled to be awarded BPS-10, BPS-11, BPS-14, and BPS-16 on the basis of time scale upon completion of 09, 14, 21, and 25 years, respectively, w.e.f. 05.01.2018, whichever is later.
2. Service Length Calculation:
   The length of the service will be calculated from the date of initial appointment (Regular), in terms of Time Scale policy circulars dated 07.06.2010, 21.07.2014, and 05.01.2018 (Copies enclosed).

Correction of Wrong Awards and Pay Fixations

1. Wrong Awards and Fixations:
   In case of any wrong awards of time scales, wrong pay fixations, and/or any excess payments on this account to the PSTs, pay fixation may be revised in accordance with the above-mentioned clarifications.
2. Recoveries:
   The recoveries may be effected accordingly.
