Applications are invited from eligible Pakistani candidates to fill the following positions on a regular basis. The qualifications and criteria for each position are outlined below:

Positions and Requirements

1. Principal, College of Nursing (BPS-20)

• Posts: 01
• Quota: Punjab
• Age: 50 years
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • a) MSN, Post RN BSN/BSN with 10 years of teaching/clinical experience.
  • b) PhD in Nursing with 5 years of teaching/clinical experience (desirable).
  • Registration: Must be registered with PNC.

2. Vice Principal, College of Nursing (BPS-19)

• Posts: 01
• Quota: Punjab
• Age: 45 years
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • a) MSN, Post RN BSN/BSN with 10 years of teaching/clinical experience.
  • b) PhD in Nursing with 5 years of teaching/clinical experience (desirable).
  • Registration: Must be registered with PNC.

3. Professors (BPS-20)

• Subjects: Chemical Pathology, Histopathology, Physiology
• Posts: 01 each
• Quota: Punjab
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC or M.Sc in the relevant subject for non-medical graduates.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as D.Sc, Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil, etc.
  • Experience:
    • 03 years as Associate Professor in a postgraduate institute with a total of 08 years as Assistant/Associate Professor, or
    • 09 years as Assistant Professor, or
    • 04 years as Associate Professor in an undergraduate institute with a total of 12 years as Assistant/Associate Professor.
  • Research:
    • At least 2 research papers in 03 years as Associate Professor with a total of 5 papers as Assistant/Associate Professor, or
    • At least 3 research papers during Associate Professorship with a total of 7 papers as Assistant/Associate Professor in an undergraduate institute.

4. Associate Professors (BPS-19)

• Subjects: Biochemistry, Chemical Pathology, Physiology, Histopathology
• Posts: 01 each
• Quota: Punjab
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC or M.Sc in the relevant subject for non-medical graduates.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as D.Sc, Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil, etc.
  • Experience:
    • 05 years as Assistant Professor in a postgraduate institute, or
    • 08 years as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate institute.
  • Research:
    • At least 3 research papers, or
    • At least 5 research papers if teaching experience is in an undergraduate institute.

5. Assistant Professors (BPS-18)

• Subjects: Biochemistry, Chemical Pathology, Physiology, Histopathology
• Posts: 01 each
• Quota: Punjab
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • MBBS or equivalent medical qualification recognized by PM&DC or M.Sc in the relevant subject for non-medical graduates.
  • Postgraduate qualifications such as D.Sc, Ph.D., FCPS, MD, MS, M.Phil, etc.
  • Experience:
    • 05 years as Assistant Professor in a postgraduate institute, or
    • 08 years as Assistant Professor in an undergraduate institute.
  • Research:
    • At least 3 research papers, or
    • At least 5 research papers if teaching experience is in an undergraduate institute.

6. Lecturers/Demonstrators (BPS-18)

• Posts: 01 each
• Quota: Punjab
• Qualifications & Experience:
  • MSN/MSPH & Post RN BSN/BSN with 5 years of teaching/clinical experience.
  • Registration: Must be registered with PNC.

General Information

1. Appointments will be made on a regular basis in accordance with the rules and regulations of Shaikh Zayed Postgraduate Medical Institute, Lahore.
2. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
3. Age relaxation will be granted as per Federal Government Rules.
4. Application form and fee challan can be downloaded from www.szmc.org.pk. Processing fee is Rs. 500 for BPS-01 to BPS-15 and Rs. 1000 for BPS-16 and above.
5. Separate applications and fees are required for multiple posts.
6. Candidates already working in government departments must apply through proper channels.
7. Quotas for Disabled (2%), Minorities (5%), Women (10%), and Transgender candidates will be observed as per Federal Government Rules.
8. Closing date for receipt of applications is 15-07-2024 by 1:00 PM.
9. Applications received before the advertisement publication or after the due date will not be entertained.
10. No TA/DA will be provided for interviews/tests. The date and place for interviews/tests will be communicated to shortlisted candidates.
11. Government servants should route their applications through departmental heads with clearance from the parent department.
12. The number of vacancies can be increased, decreased, or redistributed by the competent authority without notice.
