EXPANSION OF RESCUE-1122 SERVICES ON MAJOR HIGHWAYS/MOTORWAYS

Staff Urgently Required for Highway Rescue Operations

SFERP, a World Bank-funded project, includes Institutional Strengthening (Rescue-1122) as one of its major components to manage emergencies on major Highways & Motorways. Sixteen satellite stations have been developed, and the following staff is urgently required for stations on M9, N5, N55:

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE CANDIDATES

a) Place of Posting: Major Highways of Sindh Province (Satellite Stations-M9, N5, N55). These positions are non-transferable.

b) Candidate Expectations: Candidates must be physically and mentally fit, with a strong character to handle challenging situations like accidents, trauma emergencies, and more. Tasks include managing emergencies like car/bus crashes, shifting critically ill patients, building collapses, water and flood rescues, high-rise evacuations, and more. Candidates must possess the necessary qualifications and physical attributes to manage these operations effectively.

c) Selection Process: Final selection is contingent upon successful training completion. During training, trainees will receive a fixed honorarium. Those who drop out at any stage will be replaced by waiting candidates. Physical fitness will be assessed according to the recruitment policy. No age relaxation is allowed.

d) Medical Screening: Candidates must not have physical deformities, eyesight weaker than 6/18, color blindness (for drivers), BMI over 30, or any Hepatitis (B&C), HIV, RPR, or STD. All medical tests will be conducted at designated hospitals and laboratories, with links provided on the SFERP & PTS websites after the screening tests.

e) Application Requirements: Candidates must submit photocopies of documents as per the checklist in the application form. Government employees must apply through the proper channel. The number of posts may be increased or decreased. Only complete applications fulfilling the criteria will be accepted. Document verification, police verification, training completion, and medical board clearance are mandatory for the final appointment.

f) Tests and Interviews: Written and psychological/aptitude tests will be conducted at designated centers after the physical fitness test. Original CNIC and Roll No slips are mandatory for tests. Mobile phones are not allowed in examination centers. Test center or category changes are not allowed. Updates will be communicated through the PTS website/online portal. Candidates can apply for only one post.

g) Eligibility Criteria:

  • Paramedics/Emergency Medical Technician: Nursing or Paramedical Degree/Diploma (2nd Division) from a recognized institution, with at least 2 years of relevant experience. Age: 20-42 years.
  • Driver: Middle education with LTV/Motor Car License (preference for Matriculation and relevant experience). Age: 20-35 years. Candidates with a Motor Car License must obtain an LTV license within six months of the probation period.

h) Document Verification: Candidates must present original documents, three sets of attested copies of all relevant documents, six passport-sized photos, and a medical report at the interview. Medical reports should include height, weight, chest, eyesight, physical deformities, and laboratory tests for Hepatitis B&C, HIV, and RPR. Any missing, false, or forged information will result in cancellation at any stage.

i) No Relaxation: No age or qualification relaxation will be provided. In case of a large number of applicants, preference will be given to those meeting enhanced criteria.

j) Complaints: Any complaints can be directed to PTS Contact.

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Download the Application Form and Deposit Slip from the PTS Website.
  2. Pay the prescribed test fee at any HBL or UBL branch and fill out the Application Form.
  3. Send the completed Application Form along with the paid deposit slip (original) to PTS Headquarters, 3rd Floor, Adeel Plaza, Fazl-e-Haq Road, Blue Area, Islamabad.
  4. Late applications will not be entertained.
