A total of 201 pre-service and 445 in-service candidates have successfully cleared the test.

As per notification No. SO(S-III) JEST/EST/3-135/2022 dated May 5, 2023 (attached herewith), candidates meeting the following criteria are eligible for initial appointment as Elementary School Teachers (BPS-16) through SPSC under the allocated ratio:

  • A graduate degree with at least a second division from a Higher Education Commission recognized university.
  • A B.Ed degree with at least a second division from a Higher Education Commission recognized university.
  • A Teaching License issued by STEDA.

In the upcoming fiscal year 2024-25, there are 352 vacant posts allocated for Elementary School Teachers (ESTs) as per the Chief Minister’s approved summary, out of which 211 positions are earmarked for direct appointment through SPSC.

Therefore, I kindly request the initiation of the recruitment process for the 211 Elementary School Teachers (BPS-16) at the earliest, in adherence to the aforementioned eligibility criteria and guidelines.

Your prompt attention to this matter will facilitate timely appointments and ensure the continuity of quality education in our schools.
