OFFICE MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT: GRANT OF INCREASE IN PENSION TO THE CIVIL PENSIONERS OF THE GOVERNMENT OF SINDH

The Government of Sindh is pleased to announce a 15% increase in net pension for all civil pensioners of the Sindh Government, effective from 1st July, 2024, until further notice.

1. The 15% increase in pension will also apply to pensioners who retire on or after 1st July, 2024.
2. For the purpose of this increase, “Net Pension” is defined as “Pension being drawn” minus “Medical Allowance.”
3. This increase will also apply to family pensions granted under the Pension-cum-Gratuity Scheme, 1954, the Liberalized Pension Rules, 1977, pensions sanctioned under the Central Civil Services (Extraordinary Pension) Rules, as well as Compassionate Allowance under CSR-353.
4. If the gross pension sanctioned by the Sindh Government is shared with any other Government in accordance with the rules in Part-IV of Appendix III to the Accounts Code, Volume-I, the increase in pension will be proportionally divided between the Sindh Government and the other concerned Government.
5. This increase will not apply to the Special Additional Pension allowed in lieu of pre-retirement Orderly Allowance and the monetized value of a driver or an orderly.
