Notification of Public Holidays for Ashura 2024 (16th and 17th July 2024)

The Government of Pakistan, Cabinet Secretariat, Cabinet Division issued a notification on 09-07-2024 regarding holidays on Ashura 2024 (16th and 17th July 2024). The government has announced public holidays on the 9th and 10th of Muharram-ul-Haram. The details are as follows:

In continuation of the Cabinet Division’s circular No. 10-/2013-Min-II dated 20th December 2023, listing public and optional holidays for the year 2024, the Prime Minister has declared 16th and 17th July 2024 (Tuesday and Wednesday) as public holidays on the occasion of Ashura (9th and 10th Muharram 1446 AH).

This press release is to be widely publicized through all major English and Urdu dailies and electronic media.
