Eligibility Criteria

Professor (BS-21)

  • Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
  • Experience:
    • 15 years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
    • OR 10 years post-Ph.D. teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 15 research publications with at least 5 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.

Associate Professor (BS-20)

  • Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Experience:
    • 10 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
    • OR 5 years post-PhD teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: The applicant must have 10 research publications with at least 4 publications in the last 5 years in HEC recognized journals.

Assistant Professor (BS-19)

  • Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Experience: Nil.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: Nil.

Lecturer (BS-18)

  • Minimum Qualification: First Class M.Phil/equivalent degree awarded after 18 Years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution with no 3rd division in the academic career. Condition of no 3rd division shall not be applicable in the qualification of appointment as lecturer in Universities or Degree Awarding Institutions provided that the candidate holds a higher degree viz PhD or equivalent degree with not more than one 3rd division in entire academic career.
  • Experience: Nil.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: Nil.

Eligibility Conditions for Arts & Design (Studio Practice) disciplines

Assistant Professor (BS-19)

  • Minimum Qualification:
    • PhD in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.
    • OR Master’s degree (foreign) or M.Phil or equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution.
    • OR First professional degree (4 Years minimum, First Division) with no 3rd division in the academic career from HEC recognized University/Institution.
  • Experience:
    • Nil for PhD holders.
    • 4 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization for Master’s degree holders.
    • 6 years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a Postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International organization for first professional degree holders.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: Nil.

Lecturer (BS-18)

  • Minimum Qualification: First professional degree (4 Years minimum, First Division) from HEC recognized University/Institution with no third division in the academic career.
  • Experience: Nil.
  • Minimum Number of Publications: Nil.

Eligibility Conditions for Law disciplines

Lecturer (BS-18)

  • Minimum Qualification:
    • LL.B degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution having 5 years standing as an Advocate of the Supreme Court.
    • OR LL.B degree from an HEC recognized University/Institution having 10 years standing as an Advocate of High Court (Criteria settled by Supreme Court in Constitution Petition No. 134/2012 dated 13.12.2018).

Note: For Department of Allied Health Sciences, preference will be given to those who have a basic degree in DPT/RIT/MLT. Hiring of Visiting Faculty, Department of Allied Health Sciences will be for Academic Year 2025-26.

General Information/Instructions

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Test/Interview.
  • The prescribed application form can be downloaded from the University of Sargodha website: www.su.edu.pk.
  • Candidates for all positions are required to fill the application form and submit it along with a complete C.V and attested copies of testimonials. Two most recent passport size photographs should be affixed on each application.
  • Foreign degree holders must provide equivalence certificate issued by the HEC.
  • Applications must be accompanied with an original bank deposit slip/University Challan Form of Rs. 3000/- in case of Professor & Associate Professor, Rs. 2000/- in case of Assistant Professor, and Rs. 1500/- in case of Lecturer, as a processing fee (non-refundable) to be deposited under Head of Account “Collection” in HBL A/C No. 00427991777803. University of Sargodha.
  • Candidates already in service of a Government/Semi-Government Department or an Autonomous Body must apply through proper channel by closing date; otherwise their applications shall not be entertained.
  • Applications received after the closing date will not be entertained; even if posted before the closing date.
  • Incomplete applications shall also not be entertained.
  • In case any information provided by the candidate in his/her application form is found to be incorrect or false at any stage, he/she will be disqualified and action will be taken under the Rules.
  • This hiring would be initially for one semester and may be continued subject to performance and requirement for the next semester (maximum one academic year). However, the same may be discontinued at any time on the recommendations of the concerned Chairperson.
  • The payment shall be made on a per-hour basis at the rates approved by the University, as per rules.
  • The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the post(s) according to the needs of the departments and reserves the right not to fill/withdraw any post/withhold the appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.
